The NEW Music of
post new age composer DON HARRISS

Introducing Hero’s Welcome

Billboard charted recording artist, composer and producer DON HARRISS is pleased to announce his first new record in six years --- Hero’s Welcome --- and his first solo piano release.

"This new CD is both a departure and homecoming for me", says Harriss. "The new work stems from an earlier interest in composing for piano. Unlike the complex technical aspects of my earlier albums, this shift in musical direction will, for the very first time, allow me to bring my music to the concert stage; a very exciting proposition."

With the composing of Hero’s Welcome there is simply no one category that can demand sole rights to Harriss’ new solo piano collection. An American musician who has composed, recorded, and performed authoritatively in genres ranging from classical to rock to new age, his music immediately captures you, leads you, and allows you to arrive at a place so beautifully fresh and rare you will revisit it again and again as if for the first time.

His compositions,
though perfectly suited to full orchestration, are voiced for solo piano where he singularly executes the full scope and nuance of his rich melodies and rhythmic accompaniments. Each of the 11 tracks on Hero’s Welcome reveals the sensibilities of a master composer. Harriss’s ability to express delicate shadings of motion and emotion find us at once connected to his journey as well as our own.
